2017-2018 TRAM Quality Performance Award
Michigan Spring & Stamping was challenged by TRAM to reduce quality and recall risks and to develop a more robust critical defect prevention plan. The four most critical items for improving quality included change point management, addressing abnormalities, die management, and 5S. We responded by making improvements in our stamping, heat-treating, and assembly areas as well as visiting TRAM’s facilities for benchmarking. We were asked by TRAM to give an eight-minute presentation of our improvements at the May 15, 2018, TRAM Supplier Meeting where we were presented the 2017-2018 Quality Performance Award, the only quality performance award presented during the meeting.
